Dining glow...

Wednesday, March 3, 2010

So K, you're asking what type of light should one place over their rectangle dining table? What are the options out there? The answer - absolutely anything goes. There are limitless possibilities to what you can pick for dining room lighting. Check out my earlier dining posts here  and here for some modern options. However, since I know that you and your hubby lean toward a more traditional aesthic, here are some great options that I know will  work well in your space.

Can you imagine the great glow? How fabulous will your face and food look under this light?
Pillar Candle Rectangular light available at Restoration Hardware.

An elegant and modern touch. Covington Chandelier also available at Restoration Hardware.
Fantastic multi-pendant light, the David Easton Uppark by Robert Abbey. One of my favourites. Available at Robbertabbeylight.

I know a little modern, but how beautiful and clean lined is this? Filament chandelier available at Restoration Hardware.

Sorry, I couldn't resist. This chandelier is fantastic mix of glam and mother nature. Branches Crystal is available by local Toronto designers the Brothers Dressler.

Here are some inspiration shots of dining rooms with great lighting.

Nice selection of chandeliers :-) It took me forever to find a chandelier for our dining room. And even longer to get around to doing our dining room makeover!!

I really like the Pillar Candle chandelier. It's such a cool look :-)
