I could live like this: Bold Bedrooms..

Thursday, April 29, 2010

My bedroom is a little blah at the moment. Short of a new paint job from builder's beige, not much going for it. Just like my office, is suffers from lack of design syndrome. I often wonder how I would feel in bold bedrooms like this? Could you go bold in your bedrooms or would you stick to safe?

I'm in the midst of making a few changes to our bedroom, which was inspired by a fabulous wallpaper that we hung on the wall behind the bed. That could be a way for you to add some pizazz to your bedroom -- look for a wallpaper that you love and use it on one wall, then you could create your colour scheme based on the paper.

The blue bedroom is really pretty :-)

the bedroom has been the hardest room for me to decide on a direction for - but i think i finally have something :) i love the print in the first image and the rug in the last image.

oh - and thank you for your comment on my blog :) it's really hard to recommend a camera without knowing what you want to do...are you looking for a point and shoot - something small you can fit in your purse, or something more advanced? there are so many on the market that are really fantastic!

I really prefer a somewhat neutral bedroom with hits of colour and/or pattern. In fact, a couple of the images you've shared - in my opinion - reflect that. Take the Ziad bed pics... black, white (neutral) with hits of colour (Uzbek pillows and that FAB rug) or pattern only like in the second photo. I love both of these bedrooms! The House Beautiful bedroom, with the twin beds, is also a good example of neutral with a hit of colour. I mean... in this particular room you just change out the duvet with one in a different colour and you have a different look! That's what I love about neutral rooms. :-)
Lovely images!
