A little splash for your kitchen?

Tuesday, May 4, 2010

Looking for some interesting backsplash ideas for your kitchen? Well here are some great starting points. As much as some of them of fun eye candy, my feeling is to keep it as neutral as you can. Multicoloured backsplash and fancy glass tiles with big shots of colour, may look great now, but in a few years may date your kitchen. Although my hubby and I went the grey glass route (and we really love it). So here are some fun options and some tried & true classics.

Ok, my absolute favs are the marble subway tile and the marble slabs!!! Gorgeous. I recently got basic white subway tiles for our kitchen, but if I could have afforded it I would have gone marble all the way!

I'd love to have a Moroccan tiled backsplash in my kitchen.

Great selection - don't you love Houzz?

There are a couple that are a must have...

#2 with the white cabinets and blue tiles; I love the crisp clean feel
#4 with the slivers of glass backsplash; that tile is so natural looking and the shelves are perfect
#5 the red tiles; great pop of colour

Hmmm...now how am I going to make this work with just ONE kitchen???
