Desi Art: Silkscreened wonders...

Friday, July 2, 2010

Nothing screams summer better than these gorgeous silkscreen prints by artist Kate Banazi.   I  came across this fantastic work while browsing on Etsy and I'm so happy I did.  I quickly learned that Kate is a displaced London artist currently living in Sydney, Australia. Her work is incredibly textured, with layers of colour and a lot of sass. The bottom two prints make me so giddy. I love looking at them! Check out Kate's blog here and her Etsy shop Alyoisiusspker shop here. What a great way to end a week. Happy friday folks.

"Anjulis Dilemna" is available on Etsy. This print strangely reminds me of me-in a good way! I love the bollywood comic book vibe. Ooh... I think I need to get this for my home office!

Is this gorgeous or what? Love it. Decisions, decisions. Image as seen here.

Love the retro vibe here- reminds me of my mum's "Femina" collection! :)

These are fun - I thought they were collages at first - and the women in them are so glam! :)
