Longer long weekends please...

Monday, October 11, 2010

Turkey day came and went. We really didn't engage in anything overly festive this year. Actually I was feeling under the weather and was a bit of a cranky pants, but I did manage to chill with the rents and my siblings. The kiddies LOVE their nani and papa (aka grannie & gramps) and their little cousin so it was all good. The rest of the weekend was tackling a schmorgesborg of errands for other people. I finally dragged little bro out purchase paint and met up with an aunt to help her decide on a dining table for her new home. What did I do for me you ask? Wander around Homesense child free for a while. It was a treat. I was good too, no damage to the bank account (somehow I did  end up with an unintended hair straightener but that is another story). Managed to snap some pictures through my phone of some lovely  accent chairs that I spotted that I think would look great in a bedroom or hallway.  I need another long weekend already.

Digging the graphic print, cushion is blah. This guy was on sale for $180. Not bad.
Loved the red on this baby.
This pair was my favourite. They were surprisingly comfy too.

Ah I like the second one...lovely. And as for the hair straightener....no fear, you can never have too many of those, so wise purchase says me!

I agree, long weekends are never long enough!!

HomeSense has been carrying some great furniture lately. I'm in love with the velvet diamond tufted bench with lucite legs. If only I had a spot for one....

Thanks for your comment on my Lovingetc post. You reminded me to add info on how to subscribe to Livingetc!!

I know what you mean about getting a few minutes to yourself at HomeSense! I have tried to take the little one with me and I am always frazzled when I leave. Lucky you!

I am definitely digging the last ones!

Like that last pair! There's always so many good finds at HomeSense. A new store is opening up 2 blocks from my house in two weeks... my wallet is going to sustain some damage, I'm sure of it.
