Wall of hell...the hero arrives

Tuesday, March 29, 2011

The phone rang as blogger lady slumped over her laptop in despair. Dan from Imperial Paint called her back and proceeded to find out what she needed. That's right...a contractor actually called blogger lady back! Blogger lady was super impressed that he was extremely polite and so willing to help (she has gone through many contractors so she was a little shocked that nice contractors really existed). It was like she called an emergency DIY hotline. Dan the painter, proceeded to come over and after a little price negotiation (I'm talking great prices people) he offered to paint the room and fix the mess that blogger lady made. Dan the painter, came early Monday morning (right on time) and with his magic wallpaper removal potion and his trusty paint brush he transformed the room. In a matter of hours, he saved little K's wall from the pits of wallpaper hell. Blogger lady did get a lot of flack from her siblings and hubby for being too ambitious and for not leaving well enough alone. She learned her lesson but with Dan the painter saving the day her vision came true. Hubby was impressed, K seemed hopeful and D made sure to stay out of the paint and they all lived happily ever after. The end (for now).

For those of you in the Greater Toronto Area looking for a reliable and great painting contractor, Dan from Imperial Painting can come to your rescue.
Dan started to repair the wall...it was like magic when the glue just peeled off by itself!
Dan believes in 80% prep and he carefully ensured that the wall was fully repaired before applying any paint.
Applying tape below the baseboard is a great trick to make sure you protect your carpet. Brilliant. This guy actually shared his techniques!
Primed and looking better already! At this point all the nausea and anxiety went away.
Pretty in pink! The wall is saved and might I say, looking fabulous. Thank goodness!
Returning home from school, K jumping for joy with her candy ring pop and loving all things pink.
