Oh I'm dreaming...but just for now

Wednesday, May 25, 2011

We had a few friends over this long weekend and some of us were getting into a lively discussion of buying some property and building our dream custom homes. I know my hubby and friend S are rolling their eyes as they read this...but you must dream now to make it happen later. I need a neighbourhood and home that is more me. Something like this would do just nicely. Great thing about dreaming is that you don't have to ask for your hubby's opinion.
A little minimal yes, but I love how bright this space is and that super long island that is perfect for Indian buffet dining. Well, I'm not sure how the white countertops would fair with butter chicken take out. Gorgeous Toronto home designed by local firm Altius Architecture.
Oh yes that chair and all that wood. Fab. Oh I'm already there with that car (my son has it although he prefers the cheap colourful loud one instead) and I think that phone. Hahaha..Another creation by by local firm Altius Architecture.

You continue to post the most beautiful staircases. I think we have such similar taste. That second image is very similar to the cabinetry through my house which is quarter sawn walnut aligned horizontally. I love it!

Hi, first off, thanks for visiting my blog :) Next: hubby and I are on our 2nd house, we thought it was going to be THE house, but sadly, not so much. All the renos I'm planning right now are to customize what we have, but in the back of our minds we're dying to buy a whole in the wall and rebuild/restore/customize with an architect a house that really reflects us.
Next: now just wishing for the lottery! :)

PS> L-O-V-E your header!!!
