This is a tough choice, but I would go with #1, becuase I'm not really a fan of the sectional. Weird, I know. And I'm kind of intrigued by the photography and art on the walls in the first space.
Ok,if the chilling is adults only the 1st one, I think all those artwork will give us plenty to talk about . And if the chilling consists if families with kids then the 2nd one with all the outdoor space that's just perfect.

Second one is more inviting for "chilling"
Gorgeous grey all the way!
B:)
Numero 2 and then we'd move on out to the patio
The second one...do I spy a pool outside?
(although its pretty 'fresh' out today! no hint of humidity in the air)
my pick would also be the second one :)

Love both pics! Do I really have to choose? I think the edge goes to the 2nd one, only because I can see the gorgeous deck & pool(?) outside.
Gorgeous grey for me! It looks so cosy and comfortable, imagine it in evening ambient lighting... lovely!

Um, ya... I'm tempted by that exterior space in #2 too!
a toughie....the second one
For me, it's the first one. I'm not a big fan of sectionals and I love the art in the white room.
no contest, the sectional
I go for the gray with friends-they might spill red wine after all! But I'm loving the first image. I want to curl up on that sofa and read a book.
Can I pick both?? So gorgeous.. Both rooms have elements that I simply love!! :-)
you certainly don't make this easy...but i will go with number 1. thanks for the inspiration!
