My desi home...K's room is almost kinda sorta done...okay maybe not

Can I just say I'm glad that I have no more wedding posts for this year. Sure they were fun...but I am 'weddinged out'. So back to decor talk. It occured to me the other day that I forgot to show you what my daughter's room looks like now after my little wallpaper nightmare a few months ago here & here. In all honesty I added a few things here & there and then it just all fizzled. Still not quite done. I need a new desk chair (Ghost chair would be my pick), definitely a new lamp, new dresser knobs and maybe another pillow or something. Maybe more art? Hmmm can't quite nail it (or maybe I'm just too lazy). She likes it a lot and on most days keeps her room (and disney princesses) all organized and neat. Not bad for a 6 year old if you ask me. Although she does rotate her teddy bears, displays trinkets now & again and often sticks her art on the wall to make it more pretty. Jeez...sounds a little too familiar doesn't it?
Its good to take a picture of your room...gets you thinking again.
I like this spot. Needs sparkly knobs right? or maybe brass knobs?
A shawl my parents gave me a long time ago. Never worn but looks fabulous on this bed. Yes, she actually keeps it on her bed.
Two of my favourite pieces of art by Amy Perrotti  and Sarah Wright that just feel so perfect for K. Sorry for the crappy lit photo.
Another lovely piece of wall block art that I had to pick up by John Golden.

Thank you for posting! I love seeing photos of how someone has decorated using my prints, besides I love home decor too. I think the room is looking great. I agree, the ghost chair and clear knobs on the dresser would tie-in well with the crystals in the hanging light fixture. And of course, I'm always going to agree the more art the better. I like the choices you've made. John Golden and I are both in North Carolina. It is a small world. :)

I LOVE the art - is it wrong to be jealous of a 6-year-old? ;) I vote for sparkly knobs!

Hi Desi, this is a very lovely room. I like the red and pink touch and how you personalized good IKEA pieces. Congrats! : ) I like the artworks especially the one above drawer and also bed cover, headboard. And I have the same lamp if I see it correctly but it is in my bathroom : ) You can see on this post:

It's such a gorgeous room. I am forever working on my daughter's room as well. In fact, we just moved into a new home and hers is by far the most organized and put together room so far. Just can't resist all the girliness.

OMG...soooo pretty, I love those shawls, and I never know what to do with them, because they really do look matronly on. This way it's perfect. Also, where's the dress from? It looks like the perfect size for my kids' room.

What a lovely room Sundeep! I LOVE that it's not all pink, but just the right splashes of it. And the shawl and artwork are gorgeous. And looks like li'l K has her mommy's appreciation for beautiful things!

The shawl spread across the bed looks really cool because it not only complements your color scheme, but also gives your room an oriental touch! Desi style has some unique treasures in it :)
