If you HAD to pick...

Tuesday, December 13, 2011

Is it strange that its only Tuesday and I already feel tired? Oh well. So today's little challenge, which room would you pick to start Christmas decorating? If you absolutely HAD to pick? What holiday decorating scheme would you love to try it out?
A moody blue & acidic green? Can you imagine your holiday party in here? Hmm I'm thinking a gold tree. Image via Living Etc.
Or a blue chinoiserie take on Christmas?  Anybody going nuts over that sofa & that rug? I'm thinking pink holiday party here! Image via Living Etc.

Both are great inspirations! Love the rug and artwork in the second image!

P/S: I am having two giveaways. Come by and enter if you like.

Hearty congratulations to the winners of your amazing giveaways!!

Here it would have to be the bright airy (second) room for me, love the chinoiserie panel!

Oh, the blue chinoiserie! No doubt! I can see a metallic silver retro tree in that room.

The second one is lovely. The rug is the winner for me!

I would pick the first room as it makes it a little more challenging when you have color already - I would go with tarnished silver with hints of gold.

I would go with the second one! Lots of white, sparkle, and silver would be in my decorating scheme :)
Thanks for visiting Fashion Truffles earlier! I'm now following.

I'm torn. Mainly because both have such a strong presence of blue!
I would choose the first image. I'm always a fan of simpler, less pattern-y look. :)

Awesome post!

Both rooms are great, but I'd choose the second. The painting would be my color inspiration. I'd put up a snowy green pine tree and decorate it with turquoise and lime green decorations, possibly vintage.
