Oh, the blue chinoiserie! No doubt! I can see a metallic silver retro tree in that room.
The second one is lovely. The rug is the winner for me!
I would pick the first room as it makes it a little more challenging when you have color already - I would go with tarnished silver with hints of gold.

That rug is gorgeous...love the peacock rug.
I'm torn. Mainly because both have such a strong presence of blue!

Both rooms are great, but I'd choose the second. The painting would be my color inspiration. I'd put up a snowy green pine tree and decorate it with turquoise and lime green decorations, possibly vintage.
Both are so beautiful hard to pick! Love 'em both!
