My desi home: From jingle jingle to jiggle jiggle

Time off rocks doesn't it? I have been enjoying it a little too much so I decided to get serious today. Start my resolutions early...especially the 'excercise more' one. I have no excuse really, I have some equipment collecting dust in my basement so it should be easy to just run downstairs and get fit right? It took me 3 days to get into the idea of exercising again and another 45 minutes this morning to motivate myself to put on my gear. Baby steps. Success in the end, but boy was it slow. I'm kicking myself for stopping 3 months ago...starting again blows. Now for the hard part, how do I get myself to do it again tomorrow?
My little gym. Look how smug my exercise equipment is standing there. Seriously, its like they are calling me names.
I have thought of adding mirrors into my gym - you know to motivate/ scare me more, but the space soon got filled with the kids kitchen/ slide area. Yes, I staged the kid's kitchen. See how strategically the kitchen gloves are placed? All images via me.

I have these 4 pounds that come back every winter and I'm always struggling to loose them by summer. I'm not sure how normal/healthy it is to yoyo like this, but it is a weight trend I'm trying to break. the holidays are the worst!

Jan 1st I'm going on a cleanse for 30 days. Can't wait!

You totally had me at the title ... :) As for motivation, I suggest tying a box of chocolates just out of reach and then running full speed on the treadmill to try and catch them. Haha~ only kidding. Congrats on getting a jump start on your resolutions and good luck!!

Cute post title and I love your yellow artwork! It looks striking against the dark walls! Nice gym, by the way.

I need to lose 30 pounds, I wish I am as motivated as you. You go, girl!

Ooo wow love the kids kitchen hahahah how fun is that. Well I suggest you should think of a suitable reward to get you motivated do you have your eye on a lil sumthin that is a treat to far for a everyday purchase, like the Prada Tote I have my eyes on... stick a pic of your item on your machines and get going with the work out until your at the point where you can justify a treat, lol - London N :) x

Oooh I so wish I had a treadmill! I love running on a treadmill! Just get some good music and DO IT! Don't think about it too much, all you have to do is get your clothes on, the rest comes easy. Write down some weekly goals, that will help you keep on track and as the weeks go by you will be so motivated to read what you have done, I swear!! ;)

Yes, I agree with Gaby - getting ready to do it is the hardest part. There are loads of resources out there, Nike Training Club is my FAVOURITE app on my iphone. If you have an iphone or ipad get it and it will kick your butt :)
