Monday Must Have...

Monday, January 9, 2012

Hello folks. Back to  the grind for me today and boy oh boy, do I have a tough month ahead. Loads of deadlines and meetings and even more deadlines and more meetings. Good stuff. Not to mention that I have a sleugh of items filling up my personal to do list, you know, resolutions to restart (ahem, treadmill), new life goals to set and a general desire to shake things up a bit. Its January so to me it comes with the territory. First things first. Killer week requires some major pretty. Looking at pretty shiny things that I really really want takes me to my happy place. And I need to stay in my happy place if I want to get work done and not eat anyone alive this week.
This lamp makes me weak in the knees. Available at Tonic Home.
Don't believe me? Let's look at this little lamp here. Sigh. My office needs it. Image via here.
Yes, random brass objects are my current drug of choice. Tubular Burst Object available at Dwell
I get it...I'm obsessed with brass. So I have no choice but to  adore these slanted candleholders from Dwell.

I'm with you - 100% addicted to buying random objects with no purpose but to look pretty. Need to get therapy for it asap! ;) have a great week!

Not a big fan of brass except for traditional Desi stuff but love the shape of those lamps. Found you blog after some blog hopping last week. Love your fireplace and the blue coral bowl on the coffee table. Could you please tell me where you got the bowl from? Totally digging it.

I can see how these beautiful pieces could improve your week! Kind of makes me want to start welding when I see that beautiful sculpture.

I'm slowing getting into brass... my parents had/have it everywhere and it's hard for me to embrace it -

I love that lamp. I keep trying to justify the price, because it's really like a two-for-one isn't it? sculpture AND lamp?!

So I was watching the movie Arthur with Russell Brand (not the Dudley Moore version) and this lamp features in it! If you've seen the movie you'll see how much, thought I'd share as I saw it on here first hahah to the famous brass lamp - London N
