Our Phulkari art exhibit of beautiful private collection pieces.
Phulkari is an embroidery technique from the Punjab in Indian and Pakistan. This textile was used in garments and home decor all for special occasions! You better believe I'm going into my mom's closet to pull the one she had used during our weddings.
I loved the colour and texture of all these beauties! Are these not extraordinary backdrops? Seriously, just pieces of art all on their own!
The awesome venue. The Ritz-Carlton in Toronto.
Speaking of beauties...loved my little cobalt blue and pink get up too. Yes..busting a move on the dance floor. What's an Indian gala without the bhangra dancing? Thanks to N for taking some pictures!
