I'm waking up a little sadder...

Monday, August 6, 2012

I am deeply saddened by the violent events that unfolded at Oak Creek, USA this past weekend. Maybe it is because I am a Sikh and I was just at a Gurdwara (temple) this past weekend with my kids. Or maybe its because I don't understand how any place of worship where people reflect and give thanks should be be so horribly robbed of its peace.  My thoughts and prayers go out to those innocent people who just woke up on a Sunday morning to pray and suffered nothing but senseless violence. The world is truly a little sadder today indeed.

It's absolutely awful. There is just too much senseless hate in the world.

I couldn't have said it better, it truly is a senseless act of violence and in a Gurdwara, a place of worship....is nothing sacred anymore! It's unfortunate that foregoing even places thought to be a safe haven will have to be on lockdown. So sad that our children have to witness such hatred in this day and age:(
Prayers and we'll wishes for all of mankind to live in unison.

It's insane what people are capable of. So many terrible things happening lately, what's wrong? Don't they have mothers, and fathers, and siblings?
