My kid is better than me...

Hands down my kid has guts. For months K has been on my case about cutting her long locks for the cancer society. I'm not sure how this idea came into her 6 year old head....I think she saw something on TV and started to probe me with questions. Unknowingly, I think told her the little folks without hair get donated wigs....and that's pretty much all it took to get K's wheels in motion. Together with her aunt J they went to the salon and chopped off about 10 inches of hair. My sister had more anxiety than K. K was remarkably calm and very excited that her hair was going to a good place...that someone sick would be just a little happier. No doubt about it ...this mama is proud and is inspired by her little one.

 After months of her asking I did the research after and found out we needed a minimum of eight inches. K was patient enough to grow it out.

 Here we go.  She was a trooper...didn't flinch for a second. I think I was the one gasping...I needed a moment to say goodbye (I know, its just hair). 

 Aunt J here needed more moral support.  But she was a trooper...with gorgeous hair.
