We painted some pottery this summer...pretty awesome summer.

Summer is over and my kids go back to school. Now you think I would be all happy happy mommy about this...but I'm more on the anxious side. New schools, first timer going to school (no doubt tears will be shed), new routines with grandparents and new lunchboxes. I'm good with change - in fact I embrace it - usually. But this week leaves me longing for a summer gone by too soon. I hardly feel I even did anything this summer. Did I even spend quality time with the kiddies? Coulda, shoulda, woulda. It's over. At least I took my monkeys pottery painting one fine summer afternoon. Instant summer time reminders.

 My little creation. Yes its in the "blogger chevron pattern" in an indigo blue. I'm stoked in my artist ability.  Now it is a home for silly bands. Score.

 K's polka dot wonderland. Sure this cost me a small fortune (could have went  the dollar store route)...but hey, they kiddies were amused (30 minutes for K and D a whopping 10 minutes) and I was trying to be all 'cool mom spontaneous'.
