The big old Christmas tree at the One of Kind Christmas show really gets you in the spirit. Image via me.
I'm pretty sure I saw this at the show. It was a David Dawson piece called Muskoka Autumn. What I do remember is that I loved his booth. His work made me stop.
I have had a true appreciation of Rachel Taggart's work for years. I saw her work years ago the first time I went to OOAK and hope one day I can bring one into my home. It was a real treat for me to speak to her in person!
I don't even cook but when I spotted these gorgeous mortar & pestles by A+J I was in love. I wanted all of them for my kitchen. Good for crushing Indian spices for my tea.
My mother had to literally pull me away from this Monsterfactory booth. I wanted to bring Lois home with me and one for my kids and everyone I knew. This kind of cute is a mandatory in every home isn't it?
AMAZING. My mom loved all the airport code related art and cushions because she has been in the travel industry all her life. Gorgeous screen printed goods by Nicole Tarasick.
My mom and I were amazed by Nahid Marandi's work. She literally used silk fabrics to create these fabulous tableaus. Stunning work and something I could easily take home. Didn't get a chance to meet the artist (she was on a break) but hopefully I can one day.
Last but certainly not least, I was lucky enough to indulge in some beautiful craftsmanship for myself. My mom picked the colour for me and I absolutely love my new necklace from Moon Rox. Pretty necklaces always make me feel good. Image via me.

So glad you enjoyed it! When I lived in Ottawa I headed to Toronto each year to check it out! Always so inspiring. I know it's huge but my friend from PEI is there selling her hats and fascinators.. LOVE CHARLIE?? Sound familiar.. I've heard they are a hit!
When I went with my mom a few years ago we were also amazed by Nahids work. The figures she creates really make it look like there is a person with a personality under there. So impressive.
So glad you and your mom had a great time! I've long been a fan of MoonRox. That necklace looks great on you.
I wish Ottawa had something like this!
Pretty necklace and I LOVE David Dawson!!!
Loove the necklace you got ;)
I love that necklace and I second Nataliya's comment - why doesn't Ottawa have one of these!
I way eyeing that necklace when I was there too, as well as the little tools she had on necklaces - great stuff
LOVE those mortar and pestles! And hmmmm, will have to check out Nahid Marandi's work -- that's a beautiful piece with the door. We have a One of a Kind show in Chicago. This is inspiring me to actually attend it finally!
Thanks for coming by and for featuring MoonRox! Hope you enjoy your new necklace! Looks fabulous on you!
